Colorado Help at Home Caregivers

At Home Nursing & Healthcare

At what age does someone become a geriatric patient? It’s not easy to determine, as it’s a gradual process. However, help at home support from family or medical staff is crucial during this time to prevent any worsening of the patient’s condition.

Licensed & Insured Caregivers

We ensure that all of our medical professionals are thoroughly screened before hiring, so you can be assured your loved one will get the best possible care coordination.

Alzheimer’s & Dementia Care

Our staff understands how dementia affects a person’s abilities and perception of the world. We recognize changes in behavior and adapt our communication strategies to meet each individual’s needs. Our team is trained in techniques such as redirection and calming methods to manage challenging behaviors with compassion. We provide a supportive, personalized environment that promotes comfort, safety, and dignity for those living with Alzheimer’s and dementia.

Medication Management

At Colorado Help at Home, our licensed nurses take the stress out of medication management by providing in-home support tailored to each client’s needs. We begin with a full review of all prescribed medications, conduct a medication reconciliation, and run a drug interaction report to ensure safety and accuracy. Our team works closely with prescribing providers to stay updated on any changes, calls prescriptions into the pharmacy, and arranges home delivery. To promote ease and adherence, we also offer a variety of tools and devices to help clients take the right medication at the right dose and time.

In-Home Nursing & CNA Services

Our nurses provide comprehensive care from the comfort of your home, beginning each visit with a full head-to-toe assessment and a complete set of vital signs. Services include injections (subcutaneous or intramuscular) administered daily, weekly, or monthly; wound care and wound vac dressing changes; blood sugar monitoring; G-tube feedings (bolus or pump); monthly catheter changes and line flushing; PICC line flushing and dressing changes; IV therapy; and complete nail care. We bring clinical expertise and compassionate support directly to you, ensuring safety, comfort, and convenience at home.

Appointments & Coordination

Our care coordinators work closely with clients and their loved ones to create personalized care plans, checking in weekly to ensure evolving needs are met and adjusting plans as necessary. This coordination ensures peace of mind and consistent, compassionate support.

An in-home care nurse is either a State licensed Registered Nurse (RN) or a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) that implements and evaluates patient care. We offer treatment and rehabilitation in the comfort of your home.

Certified Nursing Assistants check vital signs, assist with reminders, and properly transfer/position clients with limited mobility. Our CNAs are available to customize each client’s experience.

Our additional non-medical staff provides professional accompaniment to clients for their basic living activities. They communicate clients’ individual needs with the entire home health care team at Colorado Help at Home.

We do not accept private health insurance, Medicare, or Medicaid. We are private pay and work with Long-Term Care (LTC) insurance. We can bill many LTC carriers on your behalf, including John Hancock, MetLife, Prudential, and Genworth.

You pay us directly for services. We then submit itemized invoices and required documentation to your LTC insurer, and they reimburse you according to your policy (benefits, elimination period, covered services, etc.).

Depending on your policy, LTC may cover daily G-tube feeding, medication management, IV antibiotics, chronic wound care, and non-medical support like bathing, dressing, feeding, toileting, transferring, and assistance with ambulation. Coverage varies by policy; we’ll help you check limits, ADL requirements, and any elimination period.
